5 Things – 8/10/22

Water Park We headed to the Jolly Rogers Splash Mountain water park as part of our annual beach week. Except for 2020 when we were pretty subdued because of COVID, we’ve gone every summer in recent memory with my husband’s sister and her family. A day at the water park for a family of five can be pretty pricey but we took advantage of a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale last year on the Jolly Roger’s website and saved 30% on our tickets this year. This def beats the $2 or $3 coupon off we’ve used in the past. The kids had a blast as always and actually managed to stay from open to close, or 10am-6pm. They pretty much have something for everyone including thrill slides like a the half-pipe like Stealth, the white water rapids style Raging Rapids, the Aqua Loop water coaster, a four-man chute, old school body slides, and much much more. I think we pretty much covered the full offerings of the park. My youngest daughter, Kendall, who just turned 7 stayed pretty low-key and stuck to smaller slides while the older girls ran around with their cousins and took on the big slides. They are already looking forward to next year.
